Julie Fram-Greig, Principal
As principal of Wakefield School, my -and our- focus must be on student learning and ensuring that every student has what they need to be successful in their own way at school. Three things are important to me and sum up my philosophy of education:
1. Instructional leadership to develop strong teachers;
2. Professional development for all staff; and
3. Collaboration to develop teams in and out of the school to work together on issues, including parents and the community.
I am passionate about students with special needs, good teaching practices, student voice, learning partnerships and collaboration to allow everyone to grow. We also foster healthy, active lifestyles at school with an emphasis on outdoor education and wellness activities.
I have worked for Western Québec for over 20 years as a teacher, Vice Principal and Principal, in a variety of settings: urban, rural, elementary, secondary, small and large schools. I am the proud mother of two children, and our family lives in the village.
